On August 6, 2016 I purchased two whole watermelons from Dash's market address of 8845 Main St., Clarence, NY (716) 650-2888. These two melons had a few issues, the first which I refridgerated whole was unpleaseant tasting, unripe but still seemed firm enough in texture, once cut it was not something that I was excited about eating however. My biggest problem is with the second melon, two days after purchase the melon which was seated on my kitchen counter in a well air conditioned home started decaying, I noticed a small bit of juice from it on the counter, wiped it away and thought well, I would cut it the next day and replace the one already in the fridge. By the next morning the melon was desolved into muss with a melon top. I heard of melon grown with growth enhancers that explode as a result of irregular cell division and believe that your melons my be grown with this practice. These melon were not ready for market and I paid $3.99 each for something I deem not worth the cost. I wanted to bring this to your attention because I question your growth practices #1, and also thought you would appreciate feedback as to the consumer experience with your product. I debaited with myself about making this complaint and was going to count the purchase as a lost, but later started to notice how I'm losing out on purchases that don't supply the value perceived. I would like to request a refund of $7.98. I have the produce label and receipt if additional supporting documents are needed. I look forward to your reply to my request. Thank you.
